Confidence can be said to be a lifestyle choice that allows the person to perceive their abilities and their general sense of self positively but also realistically. It also allows them to manage, usually successfully, difficult situations. Even if they do not have a successful result, they do not give-up. They have faith to themselves and their abilities, as they seem to be able to exercise control over their life. They keep a positive attitude even when things do not work well because they have accepted and respect themselves as they are, including their faults.
Thus, self-confidence inspires healthy emotions such as dignity, self-control, tolerance, accountability, respect for others and self-respect. It is part of our self-esteem and it is a way of expressing it. The person takes the initiative and defends what he considers important. Self-confidence works in accordance with realistic and valid self-evaluation, by taking over responsibility and keeping a dynamic attitude against everyday difficulties and unavoidable adversities.
But in order for the individual to become self-confident, their way of thinking plays an important role. What do you think? What is going on in your mind as you read these lines?
