The elevator for success is out of order, you must use the stairs, climbing one step at a time.
In the hunt for happiness, we all seek to achieve things in order to get closer to self-actualization and to become the best version of ourselves - that is how we dream. In this journey, the goals we set play a key role.
Setting goals helps to prioritize our needs, stops inertia and shapes our actions.
However, according to surveys, the percentage of people who set targets at the beginning of each year and actually manage to achieve them is quite small (1:10). This occurs for many reasons; the expectations, may not be completely realistic or feasible or they may even be directed by ‘wrong’ motives. So, seeing that we do not have the desired results right away, we feel we are not capable to achieve our goals and we give up the effort, feeling disappointed. For example, someone who wants to lose a lot of weight in a short period of time following an exhausting diet, is disappointed when he fails to lose as much weight as he expected in the first week and often gives up. Some people may even "punish" themselves, either by returning to previous tactics (eg unhealthy eating habits) or by adopting an even stricter diet plan.
