It’s very important for couples in short-or long-term relationships to spend quality time together. Sure, a fast-paced schedule doesn’t leave enough free time, but it’s important that the remaining time is of quality.
- Set aside an hour a day to devote on your relationship. This could take place at night before you go to bed, during a lunch break or any other time of the day you find suitable.
- Do something different during that time to avoid falling into a routine. Try the ideas below:
- Find a hobby: Something artistic or try going to the gym
- Exchange small gifts; not necessarily material items, but some kind declarations of love, appreciation for something nice your partner did, preparing a nice meal etc.
- Use body language; make eye contact, look into each others’ eyes for a minute and then hold hands and hug for at least 5 minutes. It’s okay if you end up in bed. Just make sure you give eye contact, caresses and hugs the appropriate time.
