Love and sexual passion are two definitions that often confuse and "perplex" us especially in the beginning of a relationship.
Every person is driven by the biological urge to reproduce, so the passion that leads to sexual desire is an essential element in creating and establishing a relationship. Passion, however, must not be confused with lust, a feeling of momentaneous enjoyment. While, passion is one of the elements of love, it is not the only one, nor is it the only condition for forming a long-term relationship. In particular, passion can lead to the creation of a relationship, which, if enriched with other key elements such as intimacy and commitment will become long-term. On the other hand, relationships with intense passion, that overtakes the rest of the elements in the relationship, will probably be intense but short.
