Energy and persistence conquer all things.
The daily energy we consume is imprinted on four levels that interact with each other. Each one has some elements that adding them in our everyday life would enhance the quality of the energy we consume in our day.
- Firstly, regarding our physical levels, it is important to choose a balanced diet. In particular, it would help to increase your consumption of fruit and vegetables as well as the amount of water you consume in a day. It is important to eat 2 to 3 main meals and consume 2 to 3 snacks in between, that come from all food groups. It would be good to reduce caffeine, sugar, nicotine and alcohol intake. At the same time, limit the sedentary lifestyle and aim for daily exercise!
- Concerning mental levels, focus your attention on your energy. Avoid distractions, such as thoughts or activities that may divert you from your pursuits. It would be particularly helpful to focus 90 to 120 minutes on your work and then take a short break. It would be helpful to avoid the negative thoughts you probably make and focus on yourself so you can relax.
- The emotional level also seems to play an important role in everyday life, as we often have difficulty recognizing and, by extension, managing our feelings. To change this, it would help if you work through your negative feelings and try not to avoid them. Release them and move on. Focus on the present, be mindful and focus on acknowledging positive emotions.
- Finally, we often underestimate the so-called spiritual level. Find meaning and purpose in your life. Discover your values («What do you want to be remembered by?»). Set your main values in your daily activities as priorities. Discover what motivates you and what skills you use best. Make sure to switch between periods of high performance and relaxation.
